Joyful Expressions is an outreach of the church. It is located right in the middle of main street, Venice Ave. on the  Island. Right now, this is the only Christian bookstore servicing the cities of Osprey, Nokomis, Venice , North Port and Englewood.

It is a non-profit store with volunteer workers from the church that has been a blessing both to those who come in and for the volunteers who work there.

God has used the bookstore as an avenue to meet the people in the community. We started an interdenominational women's meeting every week in the bookstore and women from across denominations have come and shared which has forged a strong unity and fellowship among these women.

One of the great things with having a Christian business on the main street is the opportunity to be a witness in so many ways that normally a church doesn't get to do. One such events is the monthly "Stroll In The Avenue " where we are open late and share the Gospel with singing on the street as well and inviting the "walkers" to come in for a cup of coffee.

We try to showcase local Christian authors, artists and musicians in the store and have a special board where ALL life giving churches are welcome to put up their events. We also encourage all life giving churches to leave information about their church in the store so we can inform others of their work. (one of the major visions of Fisherman's Net Community Church is to promote unity among the churches in the area!)
